 Like to feel you're living in the mountains yet just an hour from both Toulouse and Carcassonne airports? This lovely chalet is situated in the village of Fougax et Barrineuf, five minutes from the market town of Belesta and ten minutes from the much larger town of Lavelanet. Fougax itself has a small supermarket, post office, bar and restaurant.The house was built by the owners some twenty years ago. All of these rooms are very light and airy as they all have French windows leading out to a south-facing terrace. The sitting room has a big open fire and a lovely wooden staircase leads to the first floor. Here there are two large bedrooms and one smaller one. One bedroom opens onto a balcony with lovely mountain views. The other large bedroom has a dressing room off it, which could easily be converted to an en-suite shower room. At the end of the landing is a family shower room and a number of doors leading to storage space. Back downstairs, at the end of the entrance hall further double doors lead to two more bedrooms, a cloakroom and a large family bathroom. A door from the kitchen leads to a passageway with lots of pantry storage. This goes through to the summer kitchen, which opens onto the garden. There is also a door to the garage and one down to the cellar. This runs the entire length of the house and also has direct access to the garden, so that all garden machinery can be kept down here. The garden is flat and bordered by a pretty river. The house has oil central heating and is double-glazed throughout. It would make a lovely family home but could equally well be converted to a bed and breakfast business. The layout of the house lends itself to this and it is ideally situated just five minutes from Montsegur.
