The property market in the Aude

The market is soft right now.  There are still people buying but it's nowhere near the feeding frenzy it was three or four years ago.  There's a buyer for every house but it can take time for them to find you.  You don't need to have a lot of people see your property, you need to have the right person see it.

The demand for Aude properties at the high end of the market - €500,000 pus - is picking up after languishing for a few years.

Demand for 3 and 4 bedroom houses with gardens, and not needing anywork, is strong at about the €200,000 to €275,000 levels.

Demand is steady at the low end - under €150,000 - but buyers are picky.

Remember that everyone is looking for outdoor space.

It can take a long time to sell a village house with no outdoor space.
